Looking forward to weekend rides in 2026

Post by Vipm78 »

Hi everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well. I’m looking forward to getting out on more rides.

I’m based in Cheltenham and would be very interested in joining any upcoming weekend rideouts in 2026, whether they’re short local runs or longer scenic trips. Gloucestershire, Wales, the Cotswolds, or surrounding areas would all be great.

Please keep me in mind or let me know if there are any planned rides or regular meetups. It would be great to meet fellow riders and explore some new routes together.

Looking forward to riding with you all soon.

I'm in Cheltenham too. As the weather starts to look-up I'm thinking about a ride in the next week or two, just to clear the cobwebs and feel my way into the new season. A shortish run, sub 100 miles, though will most likely be during the week. This latter part might not suit you judging by your post above.

Hi Andrew,

As you suggested I tried to register on Meet-up but got this reply twice.

Your request to join Ruggie's Ride-Outs feat. Vaughany was declined

Am I doing anything wrong in the form?

Thanks

The Ruggie ride outs feat Vaughany meetup group is limited in membership numbers and is usually fully subscribed. Andrew is the 'Vaughany' featured in the group title and is an organiser in the group. He should be able to sort things out for you if there's room or 'dead wood' that needs cutting, occasionally members of the group who've joined but don't attend rides are removed making room for others who'll be more active.

It's a great group, I ride with them when I can.
