Hello

I'm Duncan.

Glad to be here. Only just moved to Stroud (actually Whiteshill, just north of it).

I do between 12k and 18k miles a year - commuting, weekend rides, foreign tours (did the TT and Nurburgring last year; similar planned for this one).

My bikes are: BMW K1300S HP Motorsport (2016), BMW K1300GT (2010), Honda CB1000R (2009), Moto Guzzi Daytona Dr John 1000 (1995; the Dr John is a limited edition special - only 20 built), Triumph Bonneville T120 (1966 and had it since 1983 - the bike I'll never sell).

I'm into mechanicing (was a professional bike mechanic and car mechanic years ago), particularly blueprinting engines to make them more reliable, efficient and torquey (usually not after more top-end). I could bore for England on the mods I made to the Bonnie and the Dr John...so I won't.....suffice it to say that I have a burette for measuring combustion chamber volumes and matching them to get the compression ratios all the same....rats! I've started!

Been having fun setting up my workshop at the new house - just treated myself to a electro-hydraulic bike lift (European made). Always happy to have brain picked or help sort out other people's bikes.

Look forward to riding with this group.

Duncan
