If you're subscribed to any of the sub-forums of this site you will get alerts on new posts within that particular sub-forum. There's the occasional spammer that goes through the process of manually registering and then posting obvious spam posts. I usually detect this and ban that user account and delete their posts.

So, if you get an alert for a new topic or post via email but then when you visit the site to find that that post no longer exists then this is the most likely explanation. The title of the post that get's mentioned in the alert email is often a clue that it's spam. More sales or promotions orientated than releated to motorcycling...

If you see an obvious spam post that's more than 12 hours old then please use the post reporting mechanism, an exclamation mark button at top right of the post. This will drop me an email with details of the offending post.

Stating the obvious here but if you suspect a post of being spam don't click on any links within it.

Thanks for your cooperation :handgestures-thumbup:
