There's a register of stolen bikes at bikersunited.co.uk, post on there as well as on here if you're the victim of bike theft. Spread the net as wide as you can.
Common sense but there's no substitute for security both when out and about and when parked up at home or work. If you park on the street, or outside in a driveway, public car park or your garden, you're especially venerable in the sense that once a thief knows your bike is regularly parked there they can choose their ideal moment to strike. Always lock your bike when leaving it, preferably to something immovable, and use layers of security; multiple locks, a cover, an alarm and/or a tracker (even just an Apple Air Tag or Samsung Smart Tag). The more you inconvenience them, the more likely they'll choose another bike to steal.
Nothing quite as horrible as the pit in your stomach when you come back to an empty space where you parked your bike, I've been there on three occasions in the past, grossly unpleasant. Both the resulting financial hardship, despite insurance, and the loss of your pride and joy is heart-breaking.
