Local Distinguished Gentleman's Ride running for the 3rd year having raised £13,000 so far, raising funds for prostate cancer charities and male mental health.
The ride will be on Sunday the 19th of May departing at 10am from Imperial Square, Cheltenham after a briefing, arrival from 9:00. Route to include a visit to Sudeley Castle and then Dunkerton's Cider. Event is sponsored by The Biker Company, Sudeley Castle and Dunkertons. The organiser and host is Liam Dunn.
To take part in this event you need to register and make a donation via the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride website. Dress in suitably dapper attire and preferably astride a classic or retro bike if you have one. I'm currently enquiring about the eligibility of more modern machinery.
100% of funds raised will go to Movember Europe who will then refund the DGR to cover their costs associated with running the event. No less than 80% of the total funds raised will be invested directly into projects. It is Movember policy that funding awards do not allow or support institutional overhead so they can maximise the level of funding applied to research, health services interventions and their evaluation.
